If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering what the heck “Web3” is. Well, according to the wiki, Web3 is “a term often used to describe the third generation of the World Wide Web, which envisioned as a more user-controlled internet.” In other words, it’s the next level of online experience- one where we aren’t censored or limited by Google and its constant changes. Imagine a world where we can share whatever we want without worrying about being shut down or having our posts removed! It’s all made possible with Web3- so join us on the Web3 revolution! (or something less cheesy than that).
There’s a popular expression that tech, crypto, and investment types have become beguiled by recently. Discussions have been currently brewing for quite some time with it, and you’re not genuine about the future until you add it to your Twitter bio: Web3.
It’s an umbrella term for different thoughts, pointing toward taking out the large brokers on the Web. Exploring the Web no longer means signing onto any semblance of Facebook, Google, or Twitter in this new period. Individuals in Web3 see a less controlled web, where proprietors and designers aren’t the focal points. Discover this: in Web3, individuals are the focus and autonomous decisions on what web benefit they need to offer information.
Comparing an advancement of this nature to the ascent of the Web itself would be fitting. It’s another time where your information can be shared freely and openly without anyone holding the reins. It is a period of decentralization, of power being taken back by individuals from huge tech organizations, who have for quite some time controlled our online experience.
