Scammers target Instagram users looking to get verified by offering fake verification services through websites like VerifiedBadge.Store.

These scammers will often ask for personal information or payment to verify your account, but they will never follow through on their promises.

If you’re looking to get verified on Instagram, the only way to do so is through an official request from the Instagram team. You can learn more about submitting a verification request here: Instagram.

In the meantime, be sure to report any suspicious activity like this to Instagram, and don’t give out personal information or payment to anyone claiming they can verify your account.

In reading reviews about this company on Trustpilot.com, I noticed 52 reviews. 20 are one-star warning of the scam. The others are all five stars look like employees or friends generated them. All post on the same date as of February 12. Hmmm? It makes you think.

One of the reviewers wrote; Scammers, you’ll be ripped off.

“Scammers, please be careful they’ll rip off your money. All their reviews are fake on their website. They said 3–5 days for verification. I had to contact them after three weeks; then, they sent me a screenshot on the same day of my request from Facebook (coincidentally) that my verification had been declined, although I requested Instagram verification. I was disappointed, I lost my money!!!! Please be careful; they have this glitzy web page they made themselves!”

This poor guy shouldn’t feel stupid. This is what he had to say.

This should be ZERO STAR!!!!!!

“First of all, there is NO Instagram account under Matt Online! How come Instagram let such a scam trap its followers?!

Big scam ever!!!!! Please don’t do it!!!!

I feel stupid that I fall for that sh**

After you pay $79, you will get an email four days business later that your request has been rejected… and they even tell you that you can apply in 30 days with another $79 fee! My account has everything to be quickly certified, a ton of articles online after being 20 years on TV… I just gave a shot to an intelligent guy who’s making quite good money!

Please don’t fall for that dumbness; I feel I am the stupid one!!!! Let’s escalate that matter for this Matt to be out of funny business asap!”

My question is, why do people crave to be verified?

Is it the blue badge? The status? Followers? I see a lot of people with 100k followers but no verification. So what’s all the hype? And what’s the process to get verified?

The blue badge on Instagram lets users know that an account is an official page or profile for a public figure, celebrity, global brand, or entity.

The verification process for Instagram is available to the general public, and anyone can submit a request. However, it’s up to Instagram to decide who gets verified and who doesn’t.

There is no guarantee that your Instagram request will be approved. But there are a few things you can do to increase your chances. First, make sure that your account meets all the criteria for verification. You can find a complete list of requirements here: Instagram requirements.

In addition, be sure to include as much information as possible when you submit your request and provide links to any external verification (such as media coverage or other social media accounts).

Finally, keep in mind that Instagram receives many requests for verification, so even if you meet all the requirements and submit a complete request, there’s no guarantee that you’ll be approved.

If your request is denied, you can resubmit it after 30 days.

When I went to check this out for myself, within minutes, I had this response congratulating me. Congratulations! Based on the following calculation, @denschleicher should be eligible to get verified on Instagram.
